About Us

Mission Statement

The purpose of VFW Post 10094 is to support and assist active, former, and retired military personnel and their families. We are here to create an atmosphere of camaraderie and fellowship; to honor those who have served our country; while maintaining a positive relationship with our community.  We also seek to better our community through volunteerism and patriotic education.

Message From the Commander

We foster an inclusive and friendly post.  Please check our calendar and join us!

What is the VFW?

Most people think it's a smokey bar room filled with older vets who want no intrusion or have any place for the younger generation.  Nothing could be further from the truth.  The Canteen is open to Veterans of all ages!  But beyond this, the true VFW offers so much more; just a quick overview of the various programs and features offered:

  • Voice of Democracy Scholarship Contest for any student grades 9-12
  • Patriots Pen Scholarship Contest for any student grades 6-8
  • VFW Scout of the Year Program for girls and boy
  • Public Servant National Awards for Law Enforcement, Firefighter, Emergency Services
  • Health Care Awards and Scholarships
  • Smart/Maher VFW National Citizenship Teacher Award
  • Life Saving Awards
  • Veteran assistance through our UnMet Needs Program
  • Citizen and Youth Education
  • Community Support (Fundraisers, Donations and More)
  • Recognition of all Veteran Holidays
  • VA Claim Assistance
  • Buddy Poppy Relief Fund
  • Military Transition and Job Placement Assistance
  • Support for Student Veterans of America
  • Programs for PTSD, Suicide Prevention, Veteran Homelessness
  • Strong Legislative Support to Bills Concerning Veterans and Their Families
  • Camaraderie with others who have been there, done that...got the medal!
